Accounting software company Intuit is the latest company to receive ACCC accreditation to operate as a data recipient under the Consumer Data Right.
Intuit’s core product is the small business accounting package, QuickBooks Online. It also offers a product called Follow-Me-Home, which is designed “to gain deep customer empathy and solve key problems for small business, self-employed, accountants and bookkeepers”.
A recent QuickBooks upgrade involves automating the capture and processing of receipts and bills.
Intuit is only the third company to receive data recipient accreditation since CDR went live in July. The others are Frollo and Regional Australia Bank.
Accredited data recipients can offer services using the consumer data right. Consumers have the right to direct their bank to share their data with an accredited data recipient.
CDR passed a couple of milestones last week, when small ADIs made data available on the system for the first time and the regulator amended the scheme rules allow intermediaries to collect data.
