ANZ has added new features to its digital banking service ANZ Plus to bring its initial product, an everyday account, up to speed after an underwhelming launch in March.
Last week the bank added BPay, pay to a PayID, instant access to a digital card (iOS only) and cardless cash withdrawals at ATMs
It has also introduced dynamic CVV – a digital alternative to the static three-digit security number on the back of a payment card.
When ANZ Plus was launched, the focus was a range of money management tools included in the package. Key features include spending categorisation, money insights presented in the app, billing alerts, financial goal setting and tracking, and “ANZ Plus coaches available in-app” for support.
It did not set the world on fire. Customer feedback on forums like Whirlpool was not all that positive, with most describing it as a generic money management app.
The bank is promising that the improvements will keep coming. The managing director of design and delivery at ANZx, Peter Dalton, said in a statement that customers’ most requested features have been delivered and more are on the way.
“Our enhanced retail banking platform, built on cutting-edge technology is allowing us to respond quickly to customer feedback and rapidly deliver new features.”
