ANZ promotes new digital brand

09 December 2021 5:56AM

ANZ has invited customers to register for its new digital banking service, ANZ Plus, which will be available from early next year.

Foreshadowed by ANZ chief executive Shayne Elliott at the bank’s results briefing last month, ANZ Plus is built around a core transaction and savings account offering and will include a range of money management tools.

It will allow customers to set and track multiple savings goals. It will have monthly spending summaries, broken down by category and access to an ANZ Plus coach via secure in-app chat.

It will issue alerts for upcoming bill and subscription payments.

Elliott said that ultimately ANZ Plus would include a fully digital home loan offering.

He said ANZ Plus will include partnerships with third parties to provide additional financial and non-financial products. The focus will be on financial coaching and personal financial management.

The bank is investing in this area through a venture business called 1835i. Most recently it acquired the rewards provider Cashrewards.
