AmBank still on the lookout
Malaysian ANZ associate AmBank Group remains interested in acquisitions even as it digests its latest acquisition, Malaysia's The Sun Daily reports.ANZ bought into the bank, estimated to be Malaysia's fifth-largest, in 2006, and at 30 June held a 23.8 per cent stake.The Sun Daily quoted AmBank Group chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim as saying the bank was "always open" to mergers and acquisitions opportunities.Azman also acknowledged that the bank would take time to digest its recent MBF Cards acquisition.
