ANZ also wants Australian staff to be more 'flexible'

ANZ has tabled a plan to create a job classification called "flexi part time" in negotiations with the Finance Sector Union over a new Australian enterprise agreement.

The FSU said that under the terms proposed by the bank, "flexis" must be available to work 152 hours over four weeks but may be contracted for as few as 64 hours (16 hours a week).

Rosters could change every four weeks, with rosters issued two weeks before the start of a four-week cycle.

Flexis would not get paid loadings for hours worked above the contract minimums. However, they would accrue sick leave, annual leave and long service leave.

The FSU has called on its members to sign an online petition opposing the changes.
