ANZ poised to shake up regional media strategy
ANZ is reviewing its global media account, placing incumbent regional agency Carat on alert.The bank has confirmed that it is taking a preliminary look at its global media agency roster. The review comes as ANZ ramps up its ambitions to expand its presence in Asia. In Australia, Aegis Media's Mitchell & Partners handles the $60 million account, while in New Zealand the account is handled by Ogilvy. Agency Whybin TBWA handles all creative for the bank globally. ANZ was the 25th biggest advertiser in 2010, according to the Nielsen data, with an estimated mainstream media spend of A$59.9 million, up from $54.4 million.
