ANZ has appointed Sameer Sawhney as head of global banking, international and institutional banking, reporting to CEO IIB Andrew Géczy.
Sawhney previously held a narrower responsibility for just Asia and Pacific. He will remain based in Singapore.
He first worked for ANZ at Grindlays, in the mid 1990s. Sawhney continued his career at Standard Chartered after ANZ sold that bank. He rejoined ANZ in 2008 as head of corporate and institutional relationship for Asia.
