ANZ's equity derivatives desk gets a lifeline
ANZ has partially reversed a decision to axe its equity derivative business, the bank confirmed yesterday.The bank said it had now "decided to retain a small group of employees to assist private bank customers with equity products." Stephen Ries, head of media relations, wrote in an email that the "decision was made following further consultation between our international and institutional banking and the global wealth business."Ries said the feedback that equity derivatives was an important offering for Private Wealth customers.
