Commonwealth Bank has appointed Michael Cant head of corporate financial services in its business bank, according to a report in the Australian Financial Review. Cant replaces Symon Brewis Weston, who has been posted to New Zealand. Cant's previous experience has been in the retail bank and asset management.The AFR also reported that Westpac has appointed Andrew McDonald general manager of corporate and institutional banking. He will report to the head of institutional banking, Rob Whitfield. He replaces Jeff Mitchell, who has moved to a strategy role.
