Asian banks lending more
Asian banks operating in Australia have increased their share of total business credit to almost 7.5 per cent, at December 2013, up from around four per cent in December 2008.In its quarterly Statement on Monetary Policy, released on Friday, the Reserve Bank of Australia, said that "much of the growth in business credit over the past year was driven by lending by Asian banks."As with consumer debt, "the cost of intermediated business borrowing for both small and large businesses has continued to decline," the RBA said.
