Australia Post launches Load&Go China 07 May 2015 4:08PM John Kavanagh Australia Post has added to its Load&Go prepaid card portfolio, introducing a dual currency card offering Australian dollars and yuan. Load&Go China is a UnionPay card designed for the 400,000 Australians who travel to China every year. It is being sold at Australia Post offices and online. The issuer is Bank of China.The established Load&Go portfolio includes a travel card offering five currencies, a general prepaid card in Australian dollars and a gift card.Load&Go China will operate on the UnionPay network, which includes 26 million merchants and 1.8 million ATMs worldwide. Australia Post is not providing an ATM locator.Australia Post chief executive Ahmed Fahour said in a statement that China was the most popular travel destination for Australians but many credit cards were not widely accepted there.Features of the card include a free back-up card, zero commission on transfers between Australian dollars and yuan, and no monthly or reload fees.A Load&Go China website allows users to manage their accounts online.
