Bank of Sydney picks CEO
Bank of Sydney has appointed Julie Elliott as its new chief executive. She replaces James Wakim, who is leaving after two years in the job.Bank of Sydney is the new name for Beirut Hellenic Bank.Elliott was regional general manager for the inner west of Sydney for Westpac.BoS said that prior to working for Westpac for nine years Elliott held a number of senior management positions at NAB, including global head of sales in the payments business and general manager for strategy on MLC's corporate side.She has also worked in consulting, at Firstwater, and in audit, at KPMG. She is chair of the board of State Trustees in Victoria.
