The securities' regulator has disqualified Ian Christiansen, the former chief executive officer of Bill Express, from managing companies for five years. ASIC announced the decision on Tuesday.Administrators were appointed to Bill Express in July 2008, four years after the firm listed on the ASX. Creditors subsequently resolved to liquidate the firm. While CEO, Christiansen lacked control or even knowledge of many of the financial affairs of the business, a liquidator's hearing, in the Supreme Court of Victoria, heard last year.He told the hearing, in May 2010, that he was not involved in the almost constant movement of cash around the group of companies, and did not know directors and executives were racking up big loan accounts with the company.
