The Australian Payments Clearing Association has appointed Andy White as acting chief executive, following last month's departure of Chris Hamilton. White joined APCA last year as general manager of the payment community division. He was general manager settlement services at the Australian Securities Exchange before joining APCA. An APCA spokesperson said the search for a full-time CEO was ongoing. National Australia Bank is sending its executives to Melbourne Business School to hone their big data skills, the Australian Financial Review reports. MBS has designed a course for 60 of NAB's finance specialists to boost their analytical skills. NAB group executive finance Gary Lennon said his team members needed to sharpen their problem solving skills in order to take advantage of the huge amount of customer data generated within the bank.
