Brief: First charges laid over breaches of FSP Act

New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority has filed criminal charges against an unnamed company and its director for beaches of the Financial Services Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act. In the first action taken under the legislation, the FMA alleges the company continued to claim on websites that it was registered on the FSP Register despite being deregistered, reports interest.co.nz.
