Brief: FX group CLS lures ECB exec
Marc Bayle de Jessé, currently European Central Bank director general of market group infrastructure and payments, has been named as the next chief executive of CLS Group, a global FX trading and settlement outfit. As chairman of the European System of Central Banks Market Infrastructure and Payments Committee, and a member of the BIS Committee for Payments and Market Infrastructure, Bayle de Jessé has had a hand in the development of regulations and international standards for financial market infrastructures. From 2 December, he will be leading a company backed by many of the world's largest banks and instos: NAB, Westpac and Macquarie are listed as shareholders alongside the likes of Citi, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan, Santander, BBVA, Barclays and others.
