Brief: New chief for HSBC Australia

Martin Tricaud will succeed Tony Cripps as the next chief executive of HSBC Australia, with effect from 3 April 2017, when Cripps moves into the top job at HSBC Singapore. Tricaud, president and chief executive of HSBC Korea since 2013, will be expected to "deepen market share and grow revenues across retail banking and wealth management, commercial banking, global banking and markets and the recently launched global private banking operation," an HSBC media release stated.
