Amy Auster is stepping down from her role as executive director of the Australian Centre for Financial Studies. She is moving to the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance, where she will be deputy secretary (economic). Adjunct professor at Monash University Rod Maddock will serve as acting director while a search is undertaken for a new executive director. Fiona Thompson has been appointed acting chief risk officer at Suncorp, following the resignation of Anna Lenahan. The company said it was undertaking an internal and external search for a permanent replacement for the role. The South Australian Department of Treasury and Finance is looking for a buyer for its A$1.8 billion HomeStart home lending operation, according to the Australian Financial Review.The SA Treasury is considering a sale of the asset to a bank or a privatisation. The business was set up to help home buyers who could not get finance from a normal lender.
