Briefs: ANZ scraps ATM fee in NZ, Bluestone's first RMBS in 2018
ANZ has announced that, from March 26, customers in New Zealand will no longer be charged a fee for using a competing bank's ATM. The announcement comes six months after the Australian parents of New Zealand's big banks made the move. The bank said it had been "getting more and more feedback from customers that they don't like this type of fee". Tantalisingly, ANZ added that the $1 fee would be one of a number of other fees and charges the bank plans to scrap, reduce or simplify in New Zealand this year. Bluestone Group has started marketing its first non-conforming RMBS transaction for 2018, looking to sell almost A$250 million of securities. The transaction, secured by a portfolio of prime and non-conforming residential mortgage loans, is to be known as the Sapphire XVIII Series 2018-1 Trust.
