Former ASIC commissioner Cathie Armour has been appointed to the board of Housing Australia (formerly the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation). The organisation’s role has been expanded this year, with responsibility for delivering the government’s housing policy and administering a bigger Home Guarantee Scheme. Armour replaces Teresa Dyson, who is stepping down after a five-year term. Since leaving ASIC last year, Armour has been appointed a part-time member of the New South Wales Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority, a part-time sessional ombudsman at AFCA and a non-executive director of securities exchange CBOE.
AFG’s head of sales and distribution Chris Slater has been appointed chief executive of asset finance aggregator Fintelligence. AFG acquired a 75 per cent stake in Fintelligence in 2021 for A$52.5 million. Slater will be responsible for the integration of the business with AFG. Them Lam has been promoted to take over the role of head of sales and distribution.
