The Commonwealth Bank has restored ATM, Eftpos and online banking services hit by an outage, the Financial Review reports. The problems at around 5.30pm yesterday were reportedly caused by switch failures.Westpac has signed to move its headquarters to a new development at 150 Collins Street from 2014. APN Property Group announced last night that the bank would be the anchor tenant in the new building behind Melbourne's Scots Church.European banks are tapping the European Central Bank for a rising quantity of one-week US$ loans, the Financial Times reports. The ECB said on Wednesday that 12 banks borrowed a total of US$5.1bn, up from US$1.6 billion the previous week. The report quoted ICAP economist Don Smith as describing the ECB lending as having reached "scary levels".
