Briefs: GE Money vulnerable to bug, CBA system crashes

GE Money has advised its customers to change their passwords in the wake of the Heartbleed security bug, according to a Fairfax Media report. The report said financial websites run by GE Money, including the Myer Visa Card, Myer Card, Coles MasterCard and 28degrees MasterCard portals, were vulnerable. Commonwealth Bank suffered a service disruption yesterday affecting its online banking platform, point of sale services and telephone banking. The system failure lasted from around 7am until midday.
