Briefs: Heavey gets top job at Lindon Financial, Credit Suisse fails market integrity test
Former ANZ and Westpac executive Steve Heavey has been appointed chief executive of financial planner and fund manager Lindon Financial Group. Heavey said in a statement that Lindon was in the process of raising capital for several "significant developments" designed to expand the business. Credit Suisse Equities (Australia) Ltd has paid a A$74,000 penalty for failing to have appropriate price filters in its automated order processing system. This failure meant that the company had not ensured that use of its system did not interfere with the efficiency and integrity of the market. Credit Suisse used its automated system to submit orders through the ASX trading platform on a particular day, which caused price increases of 42.3 and 19.9 per cent in two classes of illiquid shares.
