Briefs: Kiwi bank staff report increased pressure to make sales
A survey by First Union in New Zealand of 600 BNZ, Westpac and ANZ staff found that 87 per cent felt under pressure to sell product to customers, and half said the pressure had increased over the past year. At BNZ, 64 per cent said the pressure to sell was worse than a year ago. First Union national organiser Stephen Parry said the survey showed the clear need for a public inquiry into banking conduct in New Zealand, reports BusinessDesk.
