Mortgage broker MoneyQuest has acquired rival broker group Citiwide Homeloans. Citiwide is a Victorian-based franchise operation that has been in the market for 28 years. MoneyQuest managing director Michael Russell said he would maintain the Citiwide brand. National Australia Bank has appointed Bob Melrose executive general manager retail banking. Melrose has been in retail banking for more than 30 years and was most recently NAB's acting chief technology and operations officer. He will report to Andrew Haggar, chief customer officer, consumer banking and wealth management.
