Briefs: NAB hires NCR to predict outages, PayPal expands wallet
Finextra reports that National Australia Bank has signed up with NCR to use its predictive technology. The system is designed to alert users to likely system failures. On Monday, the bank had problems with its ATMs, point of sale terminals, online and phone banking systems, which created a payment processing backlog lasting more than a day. PayPal Australia has partnered with Catch Group, a company that offers a mobile ordering app called EatNow, to enhance its digital wallet. The partnership will give PayPal users will have access to 2200 restaurants through the PayPal app. Since launching its digital wallet last November, PayPal has formed relationships with a number of point-of-sale software providers.
