Briefs: NAB releases P2P mobile application, Quay Credit Union names new CEO
National Australia Bank has released a new peer-to-peer payments application, NAB Flik, following an "internal trial" by 1000 participants. The bank said the app allows its customers to send and receive money using either a mobile number, email or Facebook, bypassing the need to enter long account numbers. NAB Flik has a daily transaction limit of $1000 and is designed for smaller transactions made between friends. Quay Credit Union appointed Anthony Wamsteker as chief executive. Wamsteker was CEO of ME Bank from its founding in the late 1990s. He left in 2009. Quay is the credit union originally set up for AMP staff.
