Briefs: New CEO needed for Bananacoast, Latitude mulls ABS deal
The Bananacoast Community Credit Union's board of directors has confirmed that Lyndon Kingston's employment as CEO "concluded" last week. His position as director at Australia's 15th largest mutual has also ceased. Kingston moved into the CEO role from APRA's Brisbane office at the end of 2008, taking over from long-serving boss Ray Battle. Acting chief executive officer Alan Butler will continue in that position during what the board referred to as a "transition".? Latitude Financial Services has mandated Citi, Deutsche Bank's Sydney Branch, and Westpac Banking Corporation to "engage with investors in relation to Latitude's personal loans ABS programme", a banker involved with the transaction stated. A potential Australian dollar denominated securitisation of personal loans may follow "subject to market conditions".
