Briefs: Rabobank makes senior appointments, Teachers Mutual Bank launches low-priced loan
Rabobank Australia and New Zealand has made two senior appointments: Peter Knoblanche has been appointed deputy managing director Rabobank Australia and New Zealand, and deputy chief executive Rabobank Australia; and Todd Charteris has been appointed national manager country banking Australia. Knoblanche is being promoted, after running Rabobank's Australian country banking operations for the past nine years. Charteris will focus on supporting the bank's farming and agribusiness clients (the bank is one of Australia's largest rural lenders). Teachers Mutual Bank has launched a new mortgage, aiming to grab a share of the basic loan segment. TMB's Classic Home Loan, which does not include an offset facility, is priced at a variable rate of 4.11 per cent. The bank's most popular mortgage, Solutions Plus, has a tiered rate structure, including a variable rate of 4.57 per cent of loans around A$300,000 and 4.47 per cent for loans of $750,000 or more.
