Briefs: Rubik sells Shelf Companies, iCash cancels acquisition plans
Finance industry software provider Rubik Financial is selling a subsidiary, Shelf Companies Australia, which provides company incorporation and trust deed establishment services. Rubik bought COIN Software last year and since then the board has decided to focus on two core businesses - banking software and wealth management software. iCash Payments has backed away from plans to buy out the minority shareholders in Neo ICP, the maker of automatic teller machines in South Korea that is its only operating business. iCash and Neo ICP have recently confirmed lower than budgeted sales, in part because of the flood of second-hand ATMs in Australia. iCash will, instead, return two cents a share in the near future. The company is also fending off efforts by an investor, the Sherman Group, to appoint a director.
