Marketplace lender SocietyOne has found a new distribution channel, working with consumer network One Big Switch on its Big Debt Switch personal loan campaign. So far the campaign has attracted 60,000 households. SocietyOne will offer loans of up to A$35,000 with an offer of a $100 gift card for borrowers who receive a loan during the campaign period. Anti-money laundering regulator Austrac has declined to renew the registration of Perth remittance company Global Forex. The company's registration was suspended in July, following a joint Austrac and police investigation that resulted in charges relating to international money transfers. Global Forex is the eleventh remitter to have its registration cancelled since Austrac's Remittance Sector Register was established in 2011.
