The Western Australian Government has announced a cut to its First Home Owner Grant scheme. With a likely start date of September, the grant will be cut from $7000 to $3000. For first-home buyers buying a newly built home, the grant will rise to $10,000. The Real Estate Institute of Western Australia said 70 per cent of first-home buyers choose established houses.
