Briefs: Whitehead to lead Finsia, ANZ completes Notes 4 bookbuild, AMP makes board appointments
Finsia has appointed former CUA chief executive Chris Whitehead as its new CEO. The financial services association has been without a CEO since Russell Thomas left in February and is in need of a revamp to turn around its flagging membership and finances. Whitehead is a non-executive director of FundX and DirectMoney. ANZ has allocated A$1.3 billion under the bookbuild for its latest hybrid issue, ANZ Capital Notes 4. The bank will pay a margin of 4.7 per cent on the notes. The final size of the offer will be determined following the completion of the reinvestment offer and ANZ security holder offer, which both opened yesterday. AMP has appointed two non-executive directors - former IAG chief executive Mike Wilkins and retired diplomat and bureaucrat Peter Varghese. Wilkins has more than 30 years of experiences in financial services, most of it with insurance companies. Varghese, who is chancellor of the University of Queensland, was secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and High Commissioner to India.
