Business banking customers have recorded lower satisfaction with their banks for the first time in three years.

DBM Consultants has published its Business Financial Services Monitor for March, showing an overall drop in the satisfaction level with the big banks among business customers.

The banks' average rating fell from 7.4 (out of ten) in December to 7.3 in the latest survey.

Commonwealth Bank and Westpac were rated 7.5, while ANZ and NAB were rated 7.1.

Commonwealth Bank has the highest rating among large companies (turnover of A$50 million and more) and medium businesses (turnover of $5 million to $50 million).

Westpac has the highest ratings among small businesses (turnover of $1 million to $5 million). CBA and Westpac share the top rating among micro business.
