Business lending winds back, as conditions improve
The Australian Bureau of Statistics lending finance data for December 2017 highlights yet more volatility in its measure of business finance. Commercial finance fell by 6.1 per cent in December after rising by 14.7 per cent in the previous month, the ABS said.On the consumer front, the value of owner-occupied housing commitments, seasonally adjusted, fell 1.0 per cent.Personal finance provided took a fall. The seasonally adjusted series for the value of total personal finance commitments fell 4.9 per cent, while revolving credit commitments fell 6.8 per cent.
