Commonwealth Bank yesterday confirmed that long-time information technology supplier EDS Australia had lost another chunk of work.
The bank said it selected three suppliers to help the bank manage "application services".
They are IBM Australia, which might be doing most of the work locally, and two Indian firms, HCL and Tata.
The three suppliers have three-year contracts.
The Australian reported that this segment of the old contract with EDS (and which covered virtually the whole of CBA's IT budget) represented less than a quarter of the bank's old IT services agreement.
EDS remains an IT supplier to the bank, with contracts to provide mainframe and desktop outsourcing services to CBA for five years.
