CBA picks a leader, not a lender
Commonwealth Bank has looked within and appointed Kelly Bayer Rosmarin as its new group executive of institutional banking and markets, starting from December 16. The reshuffle follows the resignation of Ian Saines in September, who said he would stay on until the end of this year. Bayer Rosmarin, currently the executive general manager of corporate banking solutions, joined CBA in 2004 from The Boston Consulting Group. She has since held "a variety of line roles", as well as "playing an important part in many key strategic initiatives, projects, and product launches across the organisation", according to the bank's media team. A science graduate from Stanford University, Bayer Rosmarin has been instrumental in using technology to provide new services and products at CBA through the use of data and analytical insight, the bank added.
