CBA surveillance detailed

04 December 2013 5:46PM
"Consumer advocate" Michael Fraser provided another twist in tale of the escalating wrangle between himself and Commonwealth Bank yesterday when he published evidence of the bank's surveillance of him.Fairfax Media first aired Fraser's gripe over CBA's pursuit of him five weeks ago.An email, purportedly from Chris Mitchell, manager of international and executive security for the bank, was sent to John Biddle, national field manager at G4S Compliance and Investigations.Mitchell spells out a nine-day surveillance task for Biddle and directs that he "photograph the individual and those with whom he meets - these photos should be suitable for us to allow for the identification of individuals."Fraser published the email on CommBank Diaries, a blog established by him as part of a wider campaign of advocacy on behalf of aggrieved business customers, often those are from Bankwest. In the past, CBA has said there is a campaign of harassment by Fraser of one of the bank's executives.
