CEFC emits modest returns
A return of only seven per cent is the financial year-end outcome for Clean Energy Finance Corp.Its investments are "presently expected to earn an average yield of approximately seven per cent, which is more than 3.5 per cent above the government's cost of funds prevailing when the investment were made," CEFC chief executive Oliver Yates said yesterday.The RBA puts lending rates for large business at 4.6 per cent, so the CEFC might be faring OK.The CEFC said it "partnered with all four major banks and more than ten other domestic and international banks. "Half of the CEFC's investments are for innovative financing programs through existing financial institutions and energy service providers," it said.
