Challenger sets up new warehouse
As for the Members Equity Bank securitisation finalised last week - the SMHL Securitisation Fund 2009-1 - the AOFM purchased the entire $500 million of the Class A2 tranche, priced at 135 basis points over bank bills with a 3.73 year weighted average life.Investors took up the $179.5 million, Class A1 tranche, at 100 bps over bills with a WAL of 0.54 years. Pricing was not disclosed on the subordinated Class A3 and B tranches.Challenger Mortgage Management secured a private placement of prime RMBS via its Challenger Millennium Warehouse Mira Trust. The trust provides a revolving facility allowing the addition of further mortgages over time. For the moment though, the trust has issued notes in the following tranches: Class A, $67.7 million rated 'AAA/Aaa'; Class AB, $3.6 million, rated 'AAA/Aa1'; and Class B1, $1.5 million, rated 'AA-/A1'.
