CUA closes branches
Credit Union Australia will close 10 branches in south-east Queensland and in New South Wales. This will reduce its branch footprint to about 60.CUA said it will "amalgamate" eight of the branches, while the two others are outright closures.CUA is revamping the internal design of its branches. Last year it opened a "concept" branch in the Brisbane suburb of Carindale that features diverse workspaces in the modern style. It has also opened two more in this style at Epping and Bundoora in Victoria, and more are planned. In addition, the credit union has invested heavily in a technology overhaul that is likely to support more mobile applications.
