Currency job for Bullock
The Reserve Bank of Australia yesterday said appointed Michele Bullock as assistant governor (currency). The appointment is the first time the bank selected a woman for a post in one of it's more senior ranks.Bullock until recently ran payments policy for the RBA. She will also take up the Chair of Note Printing Australia. One of her tasks in her new job will be to sort out the bank's exit from its investment in Securency, the maker of polymer substrate for banknotes and the subject of allegations of bribery.She replaces Bob Rankin, who has become the central bank's chief representative in Europe.
