Diners licensees not sold to Discover

Discover Financial Services may be buying the Diners Club International network from Citigroup, but Discover won't be buying any of the 44 licensees of Diners around the world.Those licensees, including the Citibank-owned Diners Club Pty Ltd in Australia, will continue to issue Diners charge cards and continue to shoulder the credit risk.There have been rumours on and off over recent years of a sale by Citi of its Diners subsidiary in Australia.
