Eftpos Australia says it has passed some milestones in the build of its new hub with two members now connected and testing expected to begin soon.All banks and non-bank members should be connected by late 2015, Eftpos managing director Bruce Mansfield told the Customer Show's payments conference in Melbourne yesterday.Eftpos said it conducted "more than a million test transactions" through its contractor FIS, with "certification testing to begin this month."Two members have connected and are due to go live by September, Mansfield said.Mansfield also said the Eftpos hub "may be able to carry other transactions types for the industry that Eftpos does not look after today".He emphasised his vision for Eftpos to "co-create with the industry - to enable financial institutions and merchants to customise their own, unique branded solutions."
