Foreign news: Argentina orders HSBC to sack country head
Argentina's central bank has ordered HSBC to replace its country head and has accused the bank of failing to prevent tax evasion and money laundering, the BBC reports. Last November Argentine authorities charged HSBC with helping more than 4000 of its clients evade tax - a charge the bank rejects. And in March the central bank ordered HSBC to return US$3.5 billion from offshore accounts.
