Foreign news: Banks prepare to move out of London
France's most senior finance regulator has confirmed that some major banks with their European headquarters in London are in advanced stages of planning to move some or all of their operations to Paris, the BBC reports. The secretary general of the Autorite des Marches Financiers, Benoit de Juvigny, said "large international banks" were undertaking due diligence needed to set up in the French capital. He said he expected similar talks were going on in other European financial capitals.
