Foreign news: Climate change on the financial regulatory agenda
Climate change is on the banking regulatory agenda after the Financial Stability Board hosted a meeting on the topic in London last week. The FSB, whose secretariat is hosted by the Bank for International Settlements, hosted a "high level" meeting of public and private sector parties to consider the implications of climate-related issues for the financial sector, with a focus on "any financial stability issues that might emerge." The FSB said it was exploring the value of greater disclosure and climate-related stress testing.
