Foreign news: HSBC to shut Indian private bank

HSBC will close its private banking business in India, the BBC reports. The bank follows RBS and Morgan Stanley, which have both sold their Indian private banking divisions. Foreign banks have struggled to attract private banking business in India despite strong growth in the number of multi-millionaires in the country, according to the report.
