The City of Los Angeles has dropped a lawsuit accusing JP Morgan of discriminatory mortgage lending, Reuters reports. The City had claimed that the bank was liable for the city's lost property taxes caused by falling home values and the cost of repairing blight in minority neighbourhoods hit by foreclosures. Similar claims against three other banks remain outstanding.
