The LIBOR will linger until the end of 2021, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority said on Friday -  and it may even last longer if panel banks care to cooperate and maintain this reference rate. The Risk Free Rate Working Group in the UK has selected "a reformed SONIA as its proposed alternative benchmark," Andrew Bailey, Chief Executive of the FCA said.
